On Saturday July 9/16 between 8am and 12pm come down to the Wheatley Harbour and help us celebrate our 13th Annual Kids Fishing Derby.

The last three years we have given away eight bicycles (four boys and four girls) in different age groups. All participants are given a prize, plus a  hot dog, chips and a drink. Bait is supplied and if needed, so is a rod and reel.

We also give three trophies and three new rods and reels for three different age groups for the biggest fish in their age group. The parents/guardians are fed as well.  An added feature for the derby is a fishing tug that comes into the harbour and the crew throws chocolate bars to the crowd.
