The Marathon Rod and Gun Club’s annual Kids Fish Derby will be held at Three Finger Lake on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, and is open to all children aged 16 and under.

Pre-registration takes place on July 3rd from 1–4 PM at the Marathon Centre Mall, and on July 4th from 4–8 PM at the Clubhouse. Registration and check-in on event day runs from 8–10 AM, with fishing from 8 AM to 1 PM.

A BBQ lunch will be served from 11:30 AM to 1 PM, followed by the prize draw at 1:30 PM, where every registered participant wins a prize.

The event uses a catch-and-release format, requiring barbless hooks and prohibiting bait fish. Boats may be launched on July 4th and left overnight under provided security. Southland Transportation will offer a shuttle bus from the Mall to the lake. Lunch is by donation, with proceeds benefiting the Marathon Sick Kids Fund.
