7:30 – 11:30 AM: Fishing Derby at the pond
Come fish in the pond for the big one – trout or bass! Prizes available for the three largest fish in the 0-10 age group, the three largest fish in the 11-17 age group, largest fish in the 18+ age group, smallest fish of the day, and for tagged fish caught.
New! Special activity booths: Try your hand at making your own fishing lure, learn about the different fish species found in this area, practice your casting, fish arts and crafts, and more!

1:30 – 2:30 PM: River Ramble Hike, starting at the Day Use Area
Hike the Maitland River and learn about fish habitat and other creatures that live in the river. Exploring will include catching creatures with small nets and releasing them back into the river. Bring rubber boots or water shoes.
