Join us for an afternoon of ice fishing, 1pm-4pm. Learn from fish biologists about what lurks beneath the ice and tips and tricks for success. Bring your own equipment or borrow one of our rods. When you’re done fishing, warm up by the fire with a hot cocoa. Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre is the outreach campus of the Queen’s University Biological Station.
Fishing licences are not needed as it is Licence-Free Ontario from February 16-18th, 2019.
Come for the afternoon or stay the night in one of our heated cabins (special rate $75/cabin). Please note that Elbow Lake only allows the use of barbless hooks and no live bait.
