Join us for our 1st Annual Kids Fishing Derby at Shade’s Mills! Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. at the Boat House for children 16 years of age and under, and fishing runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. There will be prizes for the biggest catch in two categories (Pike and Bass), in two divisions (nine years and under & 10 – 16 years). There will also be a casting competition, a free raffle and hot dog roast. Amateurs welcome; there will be expert anglers on hand to provide lessons! A limited number of fishing poles will be available to borrow through the Tackleshare program. Sponsored by SAIL Outdoors Cambridge, who will be on site to offer fishing lessons as well!
