The Timmins Fur Council, which is a volunteer run, not for profit organization has been hosting this event for children since 2012. Our volunteers give up their Family Day to provide children and their parents the opportunity to go outdoors for a day of fishing on the ice free of charge. For many of these children this is their first time having this experience.

The holes are drilled by our volunteers, the rods and tackle and bait are provided free of charge. Fire pits are on site and hotdogs, marshmallows, coffee and hot chocolate are available to the children and their families
