Join us at Tommy Thompson Park for a free, family friendly, fishing workshop. Participants will learn about safe and sustainable fishing practices. Afterwards, the group will walk to a fishing node to practice their new skills!
All equipment will be provided. The recommended age is 6 years and older.
This event occurs within Ontario’s Family Fishing Week. Participants do not require a fishing license.

Location: Meet at the Staff Booth (first building after the entrance)
Free parking is available at the park entrance, on Leslie Street or Unwin
Avenue. Please leave yourself 15 minutes to walk from the entrance to
the staff booth.
Difficulty: moderate – we will walk from the staff booth to the fishing location along an un-graded, un-maintained nature trail.
Reminder: Appropriate closed toed shoes are strongly recommended. Please dress according to the weather with a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses! Please also bring a refillable water bottle.
