Enjoy some competition on the ice this winter! The Island Lake Ice Fishing Derby returns with great categories and prizes. This event will run according to safe ice conditions.

This year, there’s $2,500 in cash prizes up for grabs!!

1st place Northern Pike: $1,000
2nd place Northern Pike: $500
3rd place Northern Pike: $250
Largest Yellow Perch: $375
Largest Black Crappie: $375
Early Bird: Individual Annual Credit Valley Parks Pass

Services during the derby include ice rod rentals, minnows, augering of fishing holes, tackle and snack shop. A reminder that a valid Ontario Fishing License is required to participate in the derby. A portion of the derby falls during the Ontario Family Fishing Weekend. From February 19-21, 2022, a fishing license is not required in Ontario; if you are between 18-64 years of age and fishing without an Ontario Fishing Licence, conservation limits apply.
