The eighth annual Island Fishing Derby will run from July3rd to July 11th in waters surrounding St. Joseph Island. This will be a non contact derby to fall in line with current Covid restrictions. Similar to last year you will be required to take a picture of fish caught and submit the picture along with your name and the length of the fish from its nose to the fork in the tail to derby@sjiha.ca for submission in our daily fish gallery. Any fish submitted will be your official entry to the derby. Similar to last year we will have 6 fish species: pike, perch, bass, walleye, trout/salmon and herring(ciscoe); but send pictures of anything you catch and we will add them to the derby gallery and your name will go in as a participant. This will be a free derby and if Covid allows some prizes will be awarded to the youth that participate. More information will be available at: www.sjiha.ca.
