Bluewater Anglers host an annual Ice Fishing Derby on the license free weekend (dependent on safe ice conditions – no rain date). Tickets for this event is $5.00 available at Buck’s Bait – 222 Napier Street, The Outdoorsman – 174 Mitton St N. or at the Centennial Park Boat Ramp registration table on day of event. Draw prizes for all tickets sold will be drawn at event or if unsafe ice conditions, draw is still held at event site. Prize money is allotted for largest Panfish/Pike/Trout caught through the ice. Hotdogs, hot chocolate and timbits are supplied. Separate draw tickets for all kids that show up also.
