Atikokan is known for being a paddler’s paradise and is proud to be the Canoeing Capital of Canada. This winter, with your help, we are hoping to add a new title to our name and become the “Ice Fishing Capital of Ontario”.

We are excited to announce that Atikokan will be participating in the Ontario Ice Fishing Challenge. Kicking off on February 1st this COVID safe event takes place completely on your own phone in the Angler’s Atlas MyCatch app and on your own time. Fish when and where you’d like and submit your catches in-app following the submission guidelines to start competing.

Registration is $20 and competitors submit their catches themselves in-app to compete for prizes in various areas and for the top spot on both the Atikokan and the Ontario wide leaderboards but rest assured your location will never be shared and your secret spots will stay secret.
