Join Grundy Lake Park Naturalists for the 2nd annual Father’s Day Pike Derby…longest pike wins!
Saturday June 17th 2023 from 9 am to 3 pm at Smokey Point. All fishing must be done within the bounds of Grundy Lake Provincial Park.
Each vehicle in the park must have a valid provincial park permit. Day-users can purchase a daily vehicle permit from the park office. All vehicles must park in a designated area and display a valid park permit. You must prominently display your valid park permit on your dashboard.
All federal, provincial and park boating and fishing rules and regulations must be adhered to. Failure to do so may result in disqualification and/or being charged under the Provincial Parks and Conservations Reserves Act, 2006.
Registration will be conducted by park staff from 8:30 am – 10 am at Smokey Point. All participants must be registered to receive an official derby participant card.
Catch and release only, no dead specimens will be accepted. You must return to Smokey Point by 3 pm with a picture of your pike including a measuring tape, the participant derby card, and a video of the live release. Both the photo and video’s date and timestamps will be inspected. Scoring is measured from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail. Each numbered participant derby card must be shown to park staff at check in.
