This is a family fun ice fishing day, held on a license-free date.(No fishing license required)
There is an entry fee of 5$ per person, which must be purchased before 9am on Feb 18. Tickets can be purchased at The Outdoorsman or Bucks Bait in Sarnia until 5:30 pm Feb 17, or from 0730 to 0900 on the ‘day of’ at Centennial Park. You must buy a ticket before you fish.
Prizes are based on 90% of ticket sales, with 10% going to BWA hatchery. Categories are
1) Panfish (Perch, Rock Bass, Sunfish, Crappie
2) Pike and Walleye
3) Rainbow and Brown Trout and Salmon.
1st place in category gets 15%, second 10% and third 5%.
If no fish are entered in a category, those prizes are deferred to the panfish category.i.e. 15% for 1st and 2nd, 10% for 3rd and 4th, and 5% for 5th and 6th of panfish entered.
You are allowed to enter only one fish per category. All fish must be caught through the ice. Fish must be weighed in by 11 am.
A minimum of 5 draw prizes will be made from entrants 13 and older and minimum of 5 from those 12 and younger.Prizes not claimed at prize presentation will be forfeited to Bluewater Anglers.
